How the work is done
Floor levelling and screeding
Uneven or damaged subfloors are levelled or screeded to give a flat, solid base. It is the step that stops tiles cracking, rocking or showing lips later on.
Floor preparation
Subfloors are checked and, where needed, boarded or primed so tiles sit flat and stay bonded.
Large-format tiles
Large tiles give a clean, open look with fewer grout lines, but they need a flat base and careful setting out. Both are part of the job.
Herringbone and chevron
Feature patterns are set out from the centre of the room so the pattern looks right from the doorway and meets the walls evenly.
Underfloor heating
Where appropriate, floors can be tiled over underfloor heating using compatible adhesives and grout.
